On two of my Super Socket 7 boards I got read errors on the primary IDE channel. Used the secondary instead. But now I have an even better solution and use a PCI SATA controller card which fixes all these headaches. Old hardware I tell you they surely steak away your time 😀

So to be honest in the end it's pure marketing with companies putting stickers on their products and that's it. Beautiful! Brings back some great memories. There was this magazine with a CD and it had all these demos, games, shareware and whatnot on it. The storage capacity was simply breathtaking when CDs first came out.

IMO SVGA is pushing it, unless you have an AMD K6-2 or similar running at a high clock speed. Like you said, the MMX is the "fastest" cache-less CPU. It also the only one to really hit that 486DX2-66 speed, a great sweetspot for many. Also factor in that my results are with a top of the line ATX …

G was the "best" stick I had for games such as Wing Commander 😀 H is an older model, it would develop loud "squeaking" noises after a while. Still a great "universal" stick for other games such as Tennis or arcade games.
