You can hear things like HDD access. The CMS chips for 2.0 (3 chips) are very rare. The CMS chips for 1.5 are easy to get and fairly cheap. So get a 1.5 if you want an easy upgrade to CMS. But you can always pull out your GENUINE GAME BLASTER 🤣

I found the same with my Slot 1 and SS7 boards. SB 2.0 and PAS16 gave me issues. Good old 486DX-25: All good!

Nice! I got three as well. Haven't fitted the CMS chips though, they stay in the box, as I got the 1.5's and they work just fine. RG100 do you also get the "computer thinking" sound? I have this across all the 1.5 and 2.0 cards. Kinda like it, part of the experience 🤣

Phenom 2? 4 sticks should be fine, just leave the speed at AUTO (no overclocking). Did you overclock at all?

I just like at the size 🤣 1.5's are the long ones. And apparently the 1.0 looks just like the 1.5, but has the CMS chips soldered.

It certainly is a 2.0, and the box has a 2.0 label near the bottom right side. Whereas the box I received, says "version 1.5" on the bottom left side...

It's regarding the Game Blaster mode which you launch through prince.exe gblast It plays FM music and PC speaker effects. And I don't know how it solved itself the last time. …

Well, even Creative struggled doing that. They ended up buying Ensoniq, because they found a better solution. It certainly doesn't appear to be a trivial matter...
