Wasn't there a small x (a 3rd buttong) to delete the post? It says "edit / delete" but I can't find an option to delete it... Here is what I'm seeing on my screen:

With sound cards I feel similar like with chipsets. For me it's Creative Labs and Roland all the way. Compatibility is fantastic and everything just works.

Ok it looks like you USB midi cable doesn't send / has issues sending the midi messages that "reprogram" the MT-32. MMX Pentiums are a lot faster! I did a quick test on my SS7 Iwill board with a Pentium 200 (non MMX): 66 x 2 = 133 MHz: 114.9 66 x 2.5 = 166: 126.7 66 x 3 = 200: 136.2 100 x 2 = 200: 150

Try another game! Wing Commander, Space Quest 3, Monkey Island 2, Fate of Atlantis... If you are running XP or have Vista / 7 and that midi port changer utility to change to the USB port just play this midi file through media player (don't fast forward though). The midi file is from Wing Commander. …

Yea I try to stick with intel chipsets, although my current SS7 board has an ALI V cjipset which works great. The primary controller gave me read errors with my CF cards, but swapping it to the secondary fixed the issue!
