I remember once I got a 386/40 board that had some great deal of damage from battery fluids. One of those capacitors, that are close to the AT power connector, went off with a bang and a flame as soon as I powered it up. The funny thing though, is that the board is working fine....

In my case, I think it's pretty sure it has to do also with the slocket. It's very simple( I suppose a VRM would have some sort of extra circuits, right?) and I think it's written Pentium II on it.

When I tried to run a CPU like that (FCPGA) on some slot 1 boards using a slocket, it wouldn't run. But my boards are all early pentium 2/3, and I think they don't support 133MHz FSB. If yours does, you can try it.

There's an easy solution for the time if you want to play without reformating you disk etc. Take a cable having 3.5mm jacks on both ends, and connect the line out of the first sound card to the line in of the second.

RG100 here's the pinout for the ps2 mouse connector : http://pinouts.ru/Inputs/PS2Mouse_pinout.shtml However, have in mind that some boards may require to enable ps/2 mouse from the bios, or even in some cases you have to place a jumper for that.

And since you use a CF drive, there's no need for any ancient dos antivirus program. Just find a card reader that can taake CF cards and scan it on your main PC.
