That might help - thanks a lot. Seems like the changes are likely minor and mostly related to the silkscreen for the clock generator circuit. Other than that I've only found 1 additional resistor and one unpopulated footprint.

Mostly use them as slot covers on my machines these days. Occasionally use the 3.5" for writing disks for another platform, but don't think I've ever used the 5.25" one in my builds.

Went with dual 1N5408 now, which output 4.2V in idle and fit nicely after removing the heatsink and reattaching it with superglue. Any specific diode types you'd recommend? My hardware dealer of choice has 50 different types (5A/6A) on offer. Maybe it's worth checking out if there are any suitable TO-220 packaged diodes to pretty up the mod a bit?
