Yeah I'll give VisualC+ stuff a look. The fresh install has C+ 2005/2008/2010/2012 but nothing earlier. I always install Visual Basics 6 on my retro rigs and will give that a shot to see if it's related. EDIT: Adding VB6 had no effect. Will go through the C+ sequence next since I only have a crisp …

I've noticed image quality differences just swapping out cards in my rigs before - though never performed a detailed test like this. Installed fresh set of NKK 32k cache chips and rig now running like a top - thank you Ukraine! Cachechk/Speedsys now report cache as expected though I did have to boot to dos to get them to operate properly. And the IC extractor gizmo I picked up makes the work quick/easy with no bent pins..
