I should note that when I had the original BIOS soldered on that -5 V to GND was a short, but now it is an open circuit (or greater than the 50 M-ohm limit of my multi-meter). Recall that 5 V to GND was 60 ohms with the old BIOS, then became 1.4 K-ohm once removed. -5 V to GND is now OC instead of …
