Not aware, but not a show stopper. I'm out 1 GB. With a 64-bit OS, even though the BIOS's RAM check only reads 2992 MB, I'd still get to use the full 4 GB in the OS? This all sounds pretty complicated for a seemingly simple objective: reducing CPU overhead. Sounds like XP is a no go for this. If I were to put Win10 on my lowly Opteron 185, I assume I'd really need GPU decoding to make it more usable. If using Win10, which graphic card would be most appropriate …

Gosh, I cannot believe the vast selection of graphic cards between the GF7 series and GTX 700. I have really fallen behind. Are graphic cards becoming mainstream as all purpose online video decoders now? Aside from gaming and CAD, is there any advantage in upgrading?

I'm about 1/3 of the way finished with these extra CPUs. I'm testing Am5x86-160, Cyrix 5x86-120 S0R5, Cyrix 5x86-120 S1R3 (for BTB), Cyrix 5x86-133/4x, and Intel DX4. For the individual who wanted the Intel DX4, do you prefer it tested at 100 MHz or 120 MHz?

I've repaired conditions very similar to this. I just use a needle point tip for my soldering iron and thin solder. I used a scalpel to straighten the pins. A greater concern might be if someone left this cared powered up with pins shorting out. Possible damage to the internals of the chip?
