Looks like my Tillamook boots up on my VX board, albiet at 2.8 V rather than the specified 1.9 V. This board doesn't have a 1.9 V setting and the lowest specified in the manual is 2.8 V. So what is it about certain 430TX boards which lets the Tillamook work? Is it purely BIOS So if I use another …

Wasn't there just one or two Windows security update from August? If you find out the culprit, let me know. After you said it worked a few days ago, I went ahead and installed them on all systems.

Oh no. Did you defrag the hdd? Is the stutter occuring during HDD access? Are you able to track down exactly what updates cause this? Is it from Sept 2018?

Oh? I have all my PIII's with the POS2009 updates. What did you use to gauge performance loss? On my dual PIII-850, I noticed that the system felt like it responded more slowly after SP3, but haven't really played around with that system in an everyday setting since about 2012, so cannot say what …

CPU-World lists it as having 77 W TDP. That is a beast. Are you creating a restore point in XP, or using a clone HDD backup to restore?

Trivial indeed! This game doesn't want you to have EMM386 loaded. Is that pretty standard for DOS glide games? Or is there a particular setting you need to use when loading EMM386?

Nice to see someone is keeping this up-to-date. I wonder why some Windows updates need SSE2, while others do not. Different programmer? Different compiler? Microsoft caved to pressure and is going with SSE1 until the end of support?
