You can also try a 3-holed socket 370 clip and heatsink if the clip is flexible enough, however I found the Z-clip works a little better. Some 486 boards also don't have enough clearance around the tabs for the socket 370 clip. Also, I'm not sure if "z-clip" is the official name; that just seems to …

For the 686 benchmarks, I ran a P233-MMX SL27S at 133, 166, 200, 233, 250, 262, and 300 MHz. As others have mentioned, 2.0x, 2.5x, 3.0x, and 3.5x.

You should only be enabling/disabling Cyrix features within DOS, prior to loading Windows. Confirm all of which features function at 3x33 (100 MHz) before moving onto 2x60.

I forget exactly which of the Cyrix advanced features work differently with s1r3 vs. s0r5 chips. I think BTB may work a little better with s1r3, but I have yet to determine this conclusively. It may have been BWRT or LINBRST which need to be disabled on s1r3.
