If you can provide a 'working' executable, I can add support for the videomode. I'm also interested in the PcJr bios test -- I should probably address that as well, since other programs may make use of it.

Careful with those mount commands; I think the CD is still not mounting correctly Mount d d:\ mount c c:\path (Have to respect those trailing slashes if no path;) (Also ensure d:\ is in fact your cdrom drive; view from Explorer)

I think dosbox has not included overhead counts like FAT, and maximum number of root entries. Then again in could be the old 1024 vs 1000 bytes rounding.

./configure --disable-opengl From what Ive briefly scanned, from command line add the suffix -adlib-grab-file Not had much luck recording Mortal Kombat / Troddlers midi, but am rather busy at the moment to play too much. For the curious, yes AVI does have support for midi extensions .. (hint)

The new OPL3 "fixes" Lemmings 2 .. in the sense that sound effects no longer play; but there are no graphics glitches either. (I'm sure its something to do with an Adlib block of memory being allocated at runtime..)

The benefits are without question most useful, but the bulk of the problem is capturing dosbox's state. ie Although a memory grab is easy, its the re-setting all of dosbox's internal structures & variables (that are constantly in source-code flux) that is the largest headache.

Might be the anti-virus software -- every time Windows touches an .exe, your antivirus software grabs the handle and tests for viruses.. locking the file in the process. (It might also be your file system NTFS/other?)

I noticed similar behavior a while ago (testing Win31 installation .. its seems to complain about too many files being open); so it may be insufficient space for handles. From memory the hercules displayed the screen stretched out (so it looks the same as the cga mode). Perhaps there is something else missing in the crtc6845. (Thanks for all the work so far though!)

I recommend RAR .. it allows you to view directory (with scrolling), navigate the path, view the contents (hex/ascii) and archive.

Nice work Harekiet! Are the changes in CVS yet -- I found that Electronic Arts' WORLD TOUR GOLF has a few issues with Hercules at the moment (black screen, unsupported Int 10 / crtc6845 features).

I think dsp 08 means either "0B" (as in Bravo) or that you have overflowed the buffer (EMS problems?).. try with EMS disabled and see if you get different results. I suspect temporary buffers may be causing problems, or depending on playback mode, pointers might need to be incremented or stay static …
