unpatched win9x also has 512MB memory limit. windows 3.x also need patch under FAT32, otherwise you'll see directories corruption.

oh? you decompile the clipper-based apps and re-create using sharks? i remember hellish experience using RESCUE5 to salvage any non-encrypted functions from clipper apps, the horror.

some recent mainboard doesn't have any LPT ports. most old-dos program simply can't print when running on that machine via NTVDM, as such apps usualy try to talk directly to LPT ports. for such computer, some could try DOSPRN (shareware): http://www.dosprn.com/dos-print.htm

some early VGA (256KB version) did support weird font height between 8 to 16 for their non-standard text modes. you still need 1 bytes (8 pixels) per 'line', so 8x## fonts

since you migrated from win98 to NT based windows, you might also want to check if the files' Access Control List (ACL) were being sets properly. shareware version (2.1) also works under winXP cmd with graphical error, but it still playable.

most likely not, since FAT32 capable OS most likely bypass using INT 13H, and directly accessing L.B.A instead. A functions that doesn't exist in dosbox. But he probably doesn't know this.

regardless what you want with your img files, you might want to check if fdisk doing its job properly. iirc, some version of fdisk glitched against > 512 MB hdd other alternative is to format the img outside of dosbox and use -fs fat afterward
