Yes. Virge dx has a patch. That enables to play dos virge games. S3drun. But the card has to be a primary card.

UmbPCI can be used with those DMA idiotic chipsets quite easily. SmartDRV can not be loaded high, the floppy access can be remedied with LOWDMA.SYS and usually thing that use DMA are sound, and those are loaded later in the normal memory area. Of course VIA Apollo PRO is better, but you can use it …

You can even change that partition to a normal FAT16 partition, extract those files, and use them in that included mini Windows 3.1 or full blown windows. Then you do not have to restart, to change your Deskpro Bios settings.

You need qemm only if you have pre Pentium machine. UMBPCI and HIRAM combination gets better results, and does not put your pc to virtual086 mode.

Isa EGA rarely had any composite out SIGNAL, they only had composite ports, that were routed to expansion port.

Ok thats good to know, that scart adapters have 7frame lag, but in reality, do those VGA to HDMI have the same 7frame lag, because 1-3 frame lag i can handle.

Well, if you have a 386 or 486, then it is the best solution for office programis, paint programs, ftp and mail. Because Windows 95 is ok, but has slow installation procedure, and is not so fast. And you can use Calmira with Windows 3.1x, so it really looks like Windows 9x.

Best bet is a Socket 7 motherboards, with jumpers to change FSB and X. Then just use most powerful Intel cpu you have.. And put switches in a front panel, and then you can change the speed to anything, i have run a Pentium MMX 200@75MHz.

Still use Windows FWG 3.11, and TCP/IP stack, plus WS FTP LE and i have bakop.com free cloud FTP server to move files between old computers. HTTP internet is totally unusable, even vogons.com chrashes!

Cyanoacrylate wil not melt the pcb. And is safe to use. It wi leave white stainsand residue, but it is universal for that type of glue.
