Rule of thumb: Minimum: 3.3V Clean 5V Passive Normal: 3.3V Passive 5V Active Safe: All Active with paste! Lower life or reliability, if you use 5V 66MHz cpu without cooling!

I think the problem is in drives, not the speed, you can mash together a 286 and a fast DVD reader with no problems at all.

Well all my 486 to Pentium III dos machines use mostly latest IDE Lite-on DVD Dual Layer burners. (They were most common.) And i have never looked back. Ok i have few DVD-ROM and CD-Burners also, with different manufactures.

I do not understand why do you all like Tseng VLB card, yes i agree that Tseng ISA cards are the fastest, but Tseng cards have some compatibility issues, that S3 and Cirrus cards do not have.

I am not familiar with that kind of a setup, but in a real PC with OPL-SAx, originally you get sound effects, but only few of them, but with these files, you get all sounds.

Yes, my work computer does not allow to install new software, but i got a portable dosbox, and portable Duke2Edit, but no portable Camoto, so i e-mailed my project files to myself, and if i have time in home, then i will try to repack NUKEM2.CMP.
