There are so many incompatible variations even for the PC of these Rage cards that I don't think it would work. A similar layout with a DVI connector would probably be required and I'm starting to think that all of the ones with DVI are only for Mac.

I reinstalled the driver via Device Manager to FX 5500 to take a video and suddenly it's working fine. I uninstalled and reinstalled several driver versions prior to this without any change in stability which prompted me to create this topic. I don't know what it's working now.

I think you can use HIMEM to artificially limit how much high memory is available. I don't know this is carries through into Windows though. You will have to load HIMEM in config.sys before Windows starts to prevent it from using its own HIMEM.SYS in the Windows directory.
