Re: Has anyone tried ArcaOS for retro gaming?

So… I’m not sure why, but I completely forgot this thread existed on VOGONS. I gave a talk a few months ago at Warpstock 2023 on the topic of gaming on ArcaOS, which may be relevant to some folks here. https://youtube.com/watch?v=2x76Csv5jXk Hope you all enjoy! And feel free to leave comments.

Re: AWE64 Legacy

I'll be honest, I was willing to buy, but with the recent events in Russia and Ukraine, it makes me nervous to purchase an item that could be caught up in some kind of trade blockade. It is a beautiful card, but I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled for a second batch and think about it then.

The Single User Version I'm talking about here was limited to usage as a normal DOS on a standard disk. …

Datalight ROM-DOS 7.1

I recently stumbled across my old copy of Datalight ROM-DOS 7.1 from back in the day when it was given away as a free download (nowadays, acquiring a copy requires a payment of about $60 to attain a single user license for personal use, which I think is a bit silly). I've been playing with it some …
