thanks for the info! however, this short extract of wikipedia's article "While demos of quadratic rendered round spheres looked good, experience had proved working with quadratic texture maps was extremely difficult" makes things even more confusing 🤣

guys, just go for a barton 2800 and a normal kt333 board and that's it.. if you go with something more modern like a 4000+ then it's like using the card with such a powerful cpu somehow makes it lose its 'retro value' xD (and doesn't give you a speed benefit besides at 640x480).. it would be like …

yep, it's strange.. even if I do a clear cmos same thing happens. I also tried with a native PS/2 keyboard, and well, the bios doesnt say anything about not having a keyboard =(

uh, but isn't ultimate race already abandonware? I admit I pay for the games I play that are worth it, but I don't know of other way I could have/buy this one since it was only released on pcx1 - 2 game bundles. Thanks

well, 194,5 fps. 2304x1440 maxed out 😜 edit: add 10 fps more to my result, I forgot to put s_initsouind 0 and snd_restart

historically, AMD cpus have always been slower than intel cpus when it comes to PI calculation, if you don't believe me have a look at any forum that has a superpi 1m ranking section and have a look at the results..
