Wow that is really bad! I'd replace every electrolytic capacitor even if they look physically fine, they could be high in ESR since they look like very cheaply made stuff.

If you don't want to run the fan from a Molex connector you can always tap +12V from the card itself, by following pin A2 on the edge connector to a convenient point and wire that to the positive terminal on the fan.

I keep buying the same type of mouse over and over again to stock up on spare parts. Sometimes I replace the button microswitches on mice but as for the scroll wheels I haven't done anything more complicated than cleaning + lubrication.

Added NTSC support to a PAL-only Philips 17PT136B/00, a pretty nice Italian-made 17" RGB SCART enabled set. Yes, both are perfectly suitable, but keep in mind that the Intel part requires a 12V programming voltage. With a standalone programmer that's not an issue, but if you use a motherboard make sure it can be jumpered for 12V flashing (or just get the 5V-only AMD part).

It depends. For large screen retro console or arcade gaming I'd say presentation monitors like the Mitsubishi MegaView, NEC XM29, or broadcast monitors like the Sony PVM/BVM series. High-end boutique brand CRT TVs from Europe like B&O might be good too.
