Tried the PCI config setup and that still did not work. I am going to try and re-flash the bios to a version behind and see if that fixes it.

Yeah you will often need to juggle cards around to figure out where they are happy. The PCI slots share resources with each other and with some types of onboard components. Some cards/chips do not get along. What is odd though is that the card is completely missing from the device manager upon …

Via chipsets ... a bit "flaky". Not true. Arm your pitchforks.. time to burn a heretic! :D LOL! :happyhappy: Personally, I've never had any issues with Via chipsets and have built numerous AMD based systems. My next build is actually going to be a WinXP box based on the Athlon XP series! :wink:

Voodoo2 cards don't need an IRQ. Use them on PCI slots that share IRQ with other slots or devices. Usually a good choice are PCI slots sharing IRQ with onboard USB controller. For an Asus P3V4X motherboard, this leads to PCI slots #4 and #5. Yeah, this is a RTFM scenario! EDIT: I'll add more …

I will also try disabling the serial ports to see if that helps. Honestly, I can't see any PCI hardware posts because the damn thing goes to fast -- is there any way to stop the bios boot screen to see the specs?

I just tried a old PCI Cirrus based card and same thing. I'm thinking the bios are corrupt... any ideas of where I can find a copy of the bios? I searched up and down on Google and could not find anything!

I just tried another PCI video card and same thing. Its actually just one long beep, then two beeps, however that site says its a Video Adapter Error. Any suggestions?
