How to use a yamaha db50xg daughtercard on a sound blaster...

Do you just slip it on there and then select sound blaster for the music selection during the sound card selection of a game? Then if the game has midi it plays the midi through the daughtercard? Or is there any further setup required. This would be for both DOS and Windows 95. -Tristan

I was able to fix it by changing the two DMA settings on the AWE64 GOLD using CTCU. I changed them from 5 and 0 respectively to 1 and 6. Then it worked!! -Tristan

I was wrong, I still can't get sound blaster working on XWing. Even if I select just soundblaster pro, no sound plays. I am running dos 6.22 on Pentium II 333 Mhz. I heard that having a fast machine like this one could cause issues. I used the throttle binary to slow it by 88% and still nothing. Has …
