Yes everyone railed on the Voodoo 3 for not supporting 32bit colour, but really it wasn't that important until games like Quake 3. Also the TNT2s really dropped down in speed with 32bit colour so it was a bit pointless anyway. I'm pretty sure Voodoo 3 16bit looks better than TNT2 16bit as well. The …

I had an X800 Pro AGP back when it was new. I picked it over the 6600GT due to the small performance increase. I still have the card and it did work well in HL2 etc. Saying this it was a very hot and loud card. Something that I try and avoid these days. It depends on exactly what you are after, but …

I purchased a box of 10x TNT2 M64s for a retro lan, only used 2 or 3! I also have ~8 Voodoo 2s and a number of Voodoo 3s. These cards are great so if I ever see them for sale cheaply I normally pick them up.

Die shrunk VSA100 running at 250MHz+ maybe with DDR (so VSA101?) on a 1.5v AGP bus (with more ram, optional). Basically I feel that 3dfx didn't push the VSA100 chip hard enough. I feel that if the V4 was ~6month earlier and running at 200MHz+ it may have competed with the Geforce 2 MX.

I purchased a bunch of K6-2s! The most interesting to me is the K6-2 300MHz. Why? I really want to see how a Pentium MMX vs K6-2 goes in FPU performance (Quake 2, Quake 3 etc). Also I want to test 66 vs 100MHz FSB

I believe the main issue was lack of ram. So 32mb+ should be fine. My 486 with 40MB ram works on NT4 pretty nicely.

I really like my Voodoo 4. Faster than a Voodoo 3, has 32bit colour, runs cooler and 32mb ram. It is a great card. Didn't do well in market at the time as the Geforce 2 MX was faster/better, but the Voodoo 4 compared to all the TNT2s (even the ultra) is a lot faster.
