Re: Revised list of Voodoo games for DOS.

in PC Emulation
Just want to add in that maybe you should put Actua Soccer and VR Soccer on the same line. It is the same game, just that Actua Soccer is the European release and VR Soccer is the american. Same goes for Whiplash / Fatal Racing. EF2000 also had a separate release called EF2000 V2.0 with everything ( …

* Battlespire: Elder Scrolls Although support for 3Dfx chipset video cards was initially planned (and, unfortunately, even advertised), the development team ultimately decided that the texture memory limitations of most 3Dfx cards made it impossible to create an enhanced version without making …

Re: Diamond Edge 3D 3240

Crap. Perhaps Jedi Knight will run though, it was less hardware demanding that Shadows of the Empire which was released a year earlier. For example, I'm fairly certain SotE not only required 3D Hardware, but would refuse to run on an S3 Virge and Matrox Millennium II/Mystique. In contrast, these …

Carmageddon Max Pack: all of the above? Yes :) so it's Descent 2 + a glide patch and more/less levels? It might not be 3dfx-ready... It has less levels. This version came bundled with S3 cards, 3DFX cards and a joystick. Picture of 3dfx disc here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/57506833/descentII_ …

Do the following games exist as Glide (either statically or dynamically linked) games? Also, which ones were retail and which only made it to demo? (And if they didn't ship as Glide, if there is a patch) * Actua Soccer * Battlespire: Elder Scrolls * Burnout: Championship Drag Racing (Player's …

Re: Diamond Edge 3D 3240

It appears to have image quality like you'd expect, with depth fighting because of no zbuffer, texture mapping perspective errors, and no filtering. But it does work. Software mode of Hellbender looks better though. To those that wonders how Hellbender looks on the NV1, I posted a youtube video of …

Re: Diamond Edge 3D 3240

Those two games actually worked. Made a very quick video on youtube: http://youtu.be/ZOstiHUk_EM Also included a comparison with the D3D on a rendition card. Monster Truck Madness is a little bastard of a game. Did not want to listen to 3DCC for D3D device and thus I had to pull out my Voodoo and …

Re: Diamond Edge 3D 3240

How is this even possible!? Can you capture a couple of videos? Shadows of the Empire and Jedi Knight would be awesome to try out :P Yeah I want to try it. From the readme it sounds like this was a long shot. This happened when I tried to run Shadows of the Empire (see attached screenshots). Game …

Re: My DOS/Windows 98SE PC

You said that the MT-100 does the same as an MT-32 and that simply isn't accurate. You're right that I forgot to mention the revision differences. But beside the small differences in the games, they in broad do the same job, and if you can get the MT-100 for 1/4 of the price of a MT-32 I think it's …

Re: My DOS/Windows 98SE PC

MT-32(Old) you need for all the Sierra / Dynamix / Origin stuff and other games that otherwise have little bugs on other modules. And then you need a second module from the CM series (CM-32L, or CM-64 or LAPC-I of course). So this list is completely wrong? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_MT-32 …

Re: My DOS/Windows 98SE PC

If you don't care so much about the LCD screen on the MT-32, the MT-100 does the same for a lower price. I got my MT-100 for 25 dollars. Careful :) The MT-100 has the PCB of the revised MT-32. Roland refers to this as MT-32 (new) in their service manuals. What do you mean? The MT-32 has three …
