Yes, I've run a Voodoo 1 in my P3B-F, but it only worked on maximum 100mhz FSB.

I did nothing special when setting up my Socket 4 system with a Voodoo 1 (same board and CPU): My Socket4 build with SCSI, 3DFX and Pentium Overdrive Seems to me like you have a driver problem

From my experience, do not bother. You might get Windows 98 or other older OS'es to run on specific motherboards with a Core 2, but you'll get so many strange errors that you will never figure out of, and most of them boils down to the hardware setup.
