The first thung to do is make sure you have libpng devel packages/source available and that configure finds it.

Please be precise: DOSBox DOES support MT32 in official builds. It even supports MT32 emulation through Munt. Official DOSBox does NOT have built in MT32 emulation, though.

Ok, looked some things up. MacPorts differs between SMPEG and SMPEG2. I think this is fixed in SDL_sound mercurial. SDL_sound built against SDL2 should now have SDL2_sound libs.

Did you look at the Dosbox wiki? There is something that needs to be different in the cue file index for mp3 to work. I vaguely remember a thread on Vogons several years back about this.

Would be a good case for a bug report on SDL's bugzilla. Also might be worthwhile to look through there whether someone has alreadypatched the FLAC seeking.

you need to install the game inside Dosbox. that is a reference to an old location the game was installed to.
