Run control.exe in Wine. One of the Wine control.exe tabs habdles drive letter/names/serial.

In U6 choose SB as device then in the dosbox config disable SB emulation. AFAIK U6 uses the PC speaker as sfx output, so that might work. Also, do you know Nuvie http://nuvie.sf.net ?

Yeah, that should work, but you need to understand the drive letter differences 😉 But first things first, did you mount your CD and it still complained or did you not?

I'm not so sure about the Ms Dos promot in Windows 3.x to be sure whether that will run anything that is a windows program or whether the dosbox mount works in that. Did you try? You can't since DOSBox is for Dos games, not Windows applications. Use a VM with a 32bit Windows OS...

Cfg, short for config. Anyway, when you start Dosbox in terminal, there is additional information printed. Please copy/paste this. Also tell us where your conf file is on your machine.

Also, if you ever code it yourself and make your changed version of Dosbox available, you MUST also make your changed code available. Otherwise you are breaking the GPL. I agree with the others that you need to learn some manners in regard to open source projects...
