Always keep an eye on the knowledge/database linked to above. There are valuable hints there which might help you getting stuff to work. Crossover is a nice (but costly) GUI for Wine, btw.

If anyonebis interested I started work on this about 3 ½ years ago but couldn't find time to continue. So there is already some advanced apple script abailable as a good starting point 😉 (Again, sorry Collector, but my time just flys by)

I think you should either go with an old setup with real Dos or just use Dosbox, disable scalers and enjoy it like this. Using an old monitor will IMO only bring grief instead of joy 😉

Please don't lecture me about the real and emulated file system in regard to Dosbox. I've been using it for years on Windows and OS X. I will have to try again but AFAIK dosbox can use both real and emulated file system for mounting images (if the images are indeed on a mounted drive). Linux and OS …

Sorry, the readme lists the imgmount option to mount more than one image and switching with ctrl-f4. Could be that this only works for floppy images in the SVN of Dosbox

Most settings can be set via a batch file, scaler cannot, another one I do not change per game. I chose the one I like best and am done with it. If the location of your images is part of the c:/dosgames you can mount them from your new c drive in dosbox. So on another OS you only need to adjust the …

I never had to adjust these things. If I want to play fullscreen I use the keyboard shortcut. Never had to mess with mouse sensitivity...

Using the batch files can make it independent of the OS and you can make a nice in dosbox batch menu to start the games.
