It's not a real problem, just not efficient to not be able to use all of the ram 😉 As for Dosbox you could try whether other output settings or other builds (daum or Megabuild6) work better.

seems like something you have to discuss with the Mala developers (the config stuff changed since 0.72 I think, both location (not the dosbox program folder anymore) and the name of the config - so that might be part of the problem).

Truth5678, git has a very good regression testing option called bisect (in case you don't know about that). It's a very good way to quickly find the culprit and more organized than aimless trying through git commits.

You don't happen to have a microphone attached snd always on? 😉 Seriously at that point I'd gut my machine, detach any cable that is not necessary for bare bone running and then throw out any pci card as well to see whether anything helps...

Seems this thread is going nowhere fast. Facts: - Dosbox doesn't support Windows 95 - Dosbox runs Windows 3.x stable - the program is a Windows 3.x program Unless you want to go the other routes recommended here, I'm closing this thread.

Moved to Dosbox forum. If the program is for Windows 3.x, use Windows 3.x. It runs very stable in Dosbox, Windows 9x does NOT.

This is not a Dosbox problem. If you report a problem make sure it is with plain Dosbox SVN and grab the newest. Also please shorten your sentences, worm like sentences are hard to understand. Furthermore Dosbox only supports DOS GAMES, and happily Windows 3.x runs, too. Windows 95 does not run …

Normal Wine works as it should, it's just that most people can't handle a package manager so they install a bundle that is self contained in the app. But, as every Wine, you can run regedit.exe inside and edit the registry 😉
