You can just run fakeshare from the windows 3.x guide then in 0.74. Because share is not functioning in earlier Dosbox (and Megabuild) versions, it's just not erroring. So if you seriously work with it you run into the same possible data loss with earlier DB versions as if you just run fakeshare in …

Actually, as someone else figured out, you might be trying to mount the floppy image of MS FS1 and that is a booter game. Many of those don't have a valid file system to mount... Try a different output in the exult config (surface, overlay, ddraw...) and an up to date graphics driver from the chip maker

Yep, just googled it. The /p switch was introduced with Windows 2k. So that's not a bug 😉

I *think* this was added because people tried to use set /p even though real dos didn't support that. Only the Windows command line did that. And to not have to deal with the recurring "why does set /p not work" the devs added the reply that you should use choice. This is just how I think it is not …

So to be clear, when dosbox is ported to SDL 2.0 (currently Dosbox uses SDL 1.2.x) it should be more easily to habdle touch interfaces. Currently the old SDL is the biggest hurdle. The problem with SDL 2.0 is that it isn't released yet. ETA is May...

Dosbox and SDL are cross platform, so when it is done for linux it should work for Windows as well, provided someone compiles it for Windows. I forgot that NYxxx (some numbers) already did port dosbox. Somewhere there is a patch...
