Just don't. Reread all the threads about share.exe and get a clue. You will only end up with closed threads and if you are persistent with a banned user account. All the reasons why share is not working are listed in those threads and so far you haven't come up with any reaosn why you need share, …

It's not my rationale, it's what the Dosbox developers say. I'm not one of them. And to go out of their way and fix share, even when no game uses it, is not likely. Especially not when the only reason is to relive good memories for a moment and be done with it (been there, done that).

Well, as I wrote, there are two ways to make programs work anyway. If you go the fakeshare way, really don't do any serious stuff. Dataloss etc...

How could Dosbox possibly record the mt32 music? Dosbox just relays the sysex commands to the mt32 and then the Mt32 produces the music and outputs it via its line-out. This could even be hooked up to just some speakers and not your computer... You see the problem?

In the case of scalers I still hope someone will do a scaler lib to easily integrate scalers in projects that use them (scummvm, dosbox, etc....)

Firefox works great for me. I tried switching to Chrome or use Safari as main browser (I'm on OS X) but something is always bringing me back. Since I killed the system wide flash (Ijust don't want to take part in the endless security updates again and again...) I'm using Chrome for the few things …

Because when you can't save to a cd-rom. When you emulate that the game is on CD and there is no other harddrive,it can't save. And no matter waht the game seems to have hardcoded to save to c:/synd. HARDCODED And the command cd means "change directory".

😀 I'm very impressed in how well that kickstarter went. At the same time, I'm disappointed in how the "Shroud of the Avatar" kickstarter goes. The initial goal they managed but it's not progressing as well as the Torment one. Maybe bad timing being in competition with Torment....

In this case, I think the game is supposed to be played from the cdrom and it saves to c:/synd. But you didn't mount anything as c: So it failed to save there. Always have a c:/ drive. Always 😉
