I think the CPU, RAM are the more limiting issues. Unreal (the 3d shooter) isn't a DOS game, btw.

Good summing up of what Jorpho wrote 😉 Best ask the Bochs people how to compile it but if you've never done it, don't bother and wait for someone to provide a compiled version or the next release...

If it doesn't recognize it, it's probably not a valid image format. What image is it, with which program was it made and which floppy disk?

Hmm, when I muster the courage to build SDL2, I want to to try this on OSX. I'm annoyed at the CDRom thing though, didn't know that SDL2 killed it (even though it's mostly useless on OSX anyway).

Speed? Between xp and vista was a long time, then vista needed a successor badly... And now Apple is supposedly making MS dance to their new OS per year tune... We'll see... But getting a new computer with old Wondows wasn't easy for a long time...

Put them in some folder, mount that folder as y:, append PATH to include y: ( all this in the autoexec section of the dosbox config)

Dos games tend to be 20years old. If it's not made freeware, using copies for download is still stealing. We do not support pieated versions here.

Try http://sourceforge.net/projects/dosbox/files/ … al.dmg/download perhpas that was built with a 10.4 intel target... If that doesn't work, I'll see if I canbuild one for you to test. Problem so far is that I have no 10.4 intel machine to test against...
