Sliderider, nowhere in my post did I write that 0.74 is NOT the latest version. My point was that with 0.74 being already a year old, the OPs 0.73 is way too old.

You just pop in the original CD or ask where you got this game from. Unless it is really freeware we don't support downloaded so called abandonware...

You need to install the game within dosbox and then keep the same mountings you used for instslling the game for running it. Your mountings don't show you mounting the iso for example and I bet the game expects to be in the prophet folder and not the root of the emulated drive.

If your mouse is a logitech, make sure the gaming settings in SetPoint are correct or turned off.

If it worked in Dosbox on XP, it works in Dosbox on Vista. If it doesn't the user Sara is doing something different. Maybe installing it again helps... But make sure you fix your caps lock key, could be this is creating errors...

Ripsaw can reproduce it with vc builds thus that part of your report is done 😉 Strange how such vc vs gcc bugs come up from time to time. We used to run in those with exult since our snapshots are always done with vc but most of our rleases with vc 😉

To get another dosbox into another folder... Copy it... There are easier ways to get where you want to be but you may have to read the readme... 😉

Dos or Dosbox doesn't assign filetypes to programs and opens the file with the program when you enter it on the prompt. Only programs (exe, com) and bath files (bat) can be run.
