That being said, I once used an inofficial CVS build (Daum's?) that had a menu bar in which you could directly set many of the options. Something like that is in the works, slowly and again lacking update but it is being looked at.

Also I don't know how the essential control devices (keyboard, mouse) are connected to the device, it could be that these are internal usb devices. Not to mention that the mouse might really be a problem...

Kippesoep is right with the shell= command in system.ini. I also recommend you write Set PATH=z:\;C:\WINDOWS since I'm not sure that just writing "PATH C:\WINDOWS; " sets it at all and you might want to keep Dosbox' built in utilities at hand (thus keeping z:\ in the path)

A Sony Vaio UX would be the right form factor http://products.pocketables.net/products/?id=144 but it would need to run Dosbox on it, I highly doubt you could install Dos on it 😀

Just in case: In Windows I always have to mute and unmute mic in, in volume mixer control pannel. Really? Never had to do this when I was on Windows... it might be driver related, too.

Yup, especially on Windows, building with MingW/Msys is not easy with SDL_Sound, since it pulls in so much other stuff that needs to be compiled first, that I never made it happen, it would always crap out on one lib or another. Now on Mac it builds fine 😀

From experience with other users who post here, the want for USB support is limited to USB printers and I really can't think of a device you'd need USB support for in Dosbox (printing aside).
