My card is a CT3900. It has a panasonic and a IDE port. That IDE port is not ATAPI compliant ? As anyone ever gotten a working CDROM from a 95 boot disk if that ATAI CDROM is plugged to a IDE port of a sound blaster ?

can you set CT IDE irq and port with CTCU? I'm not sure I understand your question. I did try both IRQ 10 and 11 on the sound blaster, through jumpers. I only tried it as "tertiary" IDE device. Actually your results just prove my conclusion even more. I was out to get the myth that memory interleaving on the ET4000/W32P was a major performance boost. I won't call 0,4 (less than 1%) extra FPS in Doom a huge performance boost. My W32P use 45NS memory in both tests btw. That's certainly not …

I asked FGB for some help, he's the previous owner of that board, hope he remembers if he had WB working. BIOS can't be upgraded easily, it's not rewritable.
