The perfect way to play FG under WXP is connectix virtual PC. I gave up on running it under Wxp because of the lack of music. With CVP everything works, the beautiful music and it even plays in a window. I have already progressed to the third island 😀

I didn't have any slowdown problems with Prince Of Persia 2. With WXP and Vdmsound it worked pixel-perfect to the moment I landed on desert island and walked to quicksand. Game froze on that point and I don't know if was random or if the game always crashes in that point. Haven't tried it since.

Haven't been able to reply because of my ISP/or this forum was down. Anyway System Shock 1: Floppy disk version works fine with Vdmsound CD-rom version crashes into the email-web cursor memory error. And yes, I used megafont 😀

It was a while ago, but I am sure I was succesfull running System Shock 1 under W2k or Wxp. I remember it because I was using fluid soundfont to play the midi-music. I'l go and find SS1 so I can prove it 😀

As requested I tested SUPACDEX with dos game that doesn't work correctly with mscdex. With mscdex the game works otherwise flawlesly, but cd-audio does not work. With SUPACDEX result is blank screen and this in .log: UNSUPPORTED SERVICE 1234 UNSUPPORTED SERVICE 1500 Game was Fantasy General.
