I think its okay starting 20000 cycles or so. But as I stated in another post, i dont manage to get a smooth scrolling. There is no lag, though. I recommend you to use VDMsound, (you wont have filtered gfx though), it works perfect.

when depressing the "5" key at menu (to select vga mode), freeze Works ok in 0.63

I just tried again in VDMsound, and its indeed very smooth. I would like to try again with dosbox, with vsync enabled (even though other games like "supercars" have no scrolling problem, so musnt be that). Dos games refresh rate was 70khz right ? mmm It seems to me its a bit better but still, its far less smooth then in vdm sound. (i went up to 50.000 cycles and cpu usage was still under 100%, and scrolling was still not smooth). Thanks anyway

Hi Death rally works ok (except loading screen are really slow), but the scrolling is not smooth. Ive set cpu cycles properly (= a lot, dynamic core, cpu is bellow 100% all the time). I tried vsync but it doesnt help. On xp sp2, amd64 3200. thanks

No music here either, but sounds are perfect. (with default dosbox settings) moon.cfg is sounblaster by default so its okay

I use 1280*1024. Aspect = true in my conf file. But thats not the point, i would just like an option to specify the screen (window) ratio. Things like 8:7, or 5:4 etc Im almost sure that would be pretty easy to implement. Anyway, thanks for the help.
