Try the bios I have attached, it has support for k62+ and k63+ as well as most hidden options unhidden. This AMIBIOS, not Award, so You need a AMI bios flashing tool obviously, an old one too.

Good news. I think that's exactly the same 2.6c cpu mine had, was good for up to 3.12ghz stable, no more at all, although I did manage to run benchmarks at 3.25ghz once.

I think that Heatsink is for a standard Northwood Pentium 4. Yours is a Prescott and they run a lot hotter. I would probably install it temporarily and get one with a copper core or go for an old Zalman cooler if You can find one.

Leads pulled out on caps really makes no sense at all. Photo please. Cap leads are soldered to the pcb, You can't pull them out as such, but You could possibly rip the caps out from the top. Either way they are buggered, so replace them. Unless of course this isn't actually about capacitors?
