Are you running Doom3 v1.3 or v1.0? Clock for clock, Phenom II is a little faster than the FX. It just can't clock quite as high as the FX. I don't think there will be any problems burning BDs with that system. The slowest system I burned a BD-R on was a S939 system with a dual core Opteron at 3GHz. I was burning a BD movie image stored on my file server. The system was pulling the file over GbE, which probably increased CPU load a bit. …

Yeah! I've been messing around with lots of Phenom II stuff lately and I must say they are fast CPUs! The boards are cheap, too. If you're into overclocking most of them have no problem running at 4GHz.
