Re: Cropped screen

Hi, The dos application just fills the portion of screen "allowed" by dos and bios "limits", probably because of the laptop lcd, because, when I use an external display in CRT mode it properly behaves.

Re: Cropped screen

Thank you very much! It works! In reality I don't know why, but my bios, "PHOENIXBIOS 4.0 release 5. 1" is a little bit cropped, and so all my dos things, even with the tsr! It seems that I can't change resolution in bios, so maybe an updated version can solve the issue?

Cropped screen

Hello! I have a Siemens Nixdorf scenic mobile 710 with a 12.1" LCD TFT. I installed Windows 98 SE and I can fill the screen with 1024x768. The problem is in my dos application running at 800x600, which is cropped at the center of the screen. The program resolution is fixed. The bios does not have …

Re: Fastracker II & Midi

The last hope is finding a PCMCIA to joystik interface which probably can give the internal sound card MPU401 port... It's impossible to find it today on ebay...something like JC Designs Gamecard Pro would suit........ I really would like to try it, just to see if it works........

Re: Fastracker II & Midi

in DOS
I don't think...the IBM Thinkpad 365xd laptop BIOS does not allow big changes to devices. I also found a dos tool called ESSCFG which allows to change irq, dma and, of course, mpu401. Obviously the mpu401 port can be 300, 310, 320, 330....but not other values. Actually the Roland SCP-55 is a great …

in DOS
I'm using win98se. I go to control panel. then system, then devices properties. Not all the settings for I/O can be changed. The settings for ss1688 I/O are 330-331 and there's no way to change them

Re: Fastracker II & Midi

in DOS
The SCP-55 I/O port can be changed. I set it to 300-330 but conflict happens with es1688. The real problem is that I can change Roland scp-55 I/O port (it has a large range, it can be, for example, 300, 370 etc.) ) but I can't change the ES1688 port. Its range is limited to 300-330. Basically I …

Re: Fastracker II & Midi

in DOS
Hello, lolo799! The SCP-55 works well under win98se to play mp3s etc. Midi works under other applications.... Also I tried Impulse Tracker (the developers were smarter...) which gives the possibility to choose a generic MPU401 driver.....(launching:"it /s19 /a370).....In my case the Roland has the …

Re: Fastracker II & Midi

in DOS
Ok..... The card work in windows 98 and probably in dos..... but fastracker 2.08 only accepts Gravis Ultrasound or Sound Blaster..... I think I must give up 🙁
