PC Chips seemed to make the cheapest, worst socket 7 boards (at least it was their reputation), and 3/3 of mine still work fine (1 m535, 2 m590lmr) but in the end it's kind of random it seems...

I wonder how the X1600XT compares to the 6800GT? The X1600XT is the fastest AGP card I currently have. Nforce 2 is making all the difference in there I think realistically it makes more sense to compare the 1GHz Thunderbird with Coppermine P3, and Tualatin with Athlon XP Palomino interesting result regardless

I also noticed very low transfer speeds on 98se with my p3, thankfully I have XP also on that PC and used it for larger files and it works way better, with the expect speed for 100mbps, I didn't really try to find the cause of the slow speed, it's fine for smaller files and I avoid 98 for networking …

one difference is that in a PS4 the CPU portion can only access something around 20GB/s max, while the GPU has always 100+GB/s that's not like the behavior of current PC IGPs

the FX didn't "smash" Radeons on DX8 and bellow, plenty of tests of the time would show the cards competing with the Radeons often ahead.
