I bought a dozen Dell FDDM-101 drives (laptop floppy drives, but have mini-USB port on the backside as well) that can read and write (OS depending) 720K and 1.44MB. On ebay they are cheap...$7-10 shipped.

For bay covers that don't fit properly, I use a small amount of thermoplastic to mount them. I love that stuff. Put some of the beads in really hot water, let them melt, then you I mold it around the bay covers edge and push them in until I like the fit. Just let it sit there for 1-2 minutes and the …
