The reason that the 2nd TMU is disabled in the driver, is that they didn't want to stress out the 8MB this graphics card had. Especially on higher resolutions (above 1024x768). Enabling it in the registry editor should give no hw problems. It is after all a voodoo 3 2000 with only 8mb mem. With …

I picked up a 3dfx Velocity 100 8MB AGP video card and it is very interesting to say the least. I used the registry hack to enable the 2nd TMU for Glide in Windows 98 SE and it performs just as well as 3dfx Voodoo 3 2000 even if it has only half the video memory. Just got my Orpheus Sound Card today. This is a super cool sound card with the awesome sound quality. Still doing some tweaking between the DOS and Windows environments, but overall it's working great in my Pentium MMX 233 build!

Matrox G400 supports AGP4X with sideband addressing. It is a full AGP specification implementation. It has better AGP tolerance than G200 and usually works well with non-Intel chipsets AGP implementation at reduced speed. G200 will had a hard time getting AGP2X speed with non-Intel chipsets. …
