Re: Why do modern video games suck so badly part two

in Milliways
The video was posted as an example of the creativity of youth, but sure, ignore the validity of the work and just slam it because you don't like the music. I wasn't going to come back to this thread, but I have to answer this. I didn't say it wasn't creative. As a video or performance-art form, it …

We are on different levels. I thought that was total crap and proved my point. He can't sing, can't play an instrument (really), and would not be surprised if he had no musical training at all. I dread the day that becomes mainstream. I'm punching out of this conversation.

dh4rm4, I am well aware of the progressive rock bands from the 60's and 70's. Yes and Rush are two of my favorites (and Floyd..... naturally). :) My point still stands. They had synthesizers, but they also had to know how to play them. The Moog didn't have 1000 different sounds. The way George …

Re: What monitor do you use?

I own (quantity 3) the best CRT ever made. Two are spares. It's a 19" tube by Hitachi, and the last model they made. Frankly, I think it blows away the Sony Trinitrons of the day. I have them in three different "monitor" casings. 1) Hitachi SuperScan Elite 751 (my current monitor for everything) 2) …

Re: Virtualbox 2.1 released

I judge a VM product by how well it handles DOS, simply because it's just more low-level and closer to the "hardware". In that respect, VirtualBox fails miserably. And even for Windows, except for this OpenGL support, it doesn't do as well as VMWare or VirtualPC. But it is getting better, especially …
