Looks like it came from a smokers computer. A lot of hot water, dish soap with oxy, and a fine brush will remove it all. Dry it for a few days and its good as new.

I would keep them all, they will be getting harder to find as time go on because of scrappers. I am currently stocking up on SCSI, IDE, and laptop drives. They don't really take up that much space and they stack well in a box.

Cyrix 1995 sample CPI with bent pins. G5F8540A, I assume its a 5x86 100? Will know if it works in a few days when it gets here.

Not sure what 8MB on a Millenium or Mystique gets you these days (I do have at least one of them upgraded). The original Millenium had other upgrades besides RAM (one for video decoding I think). The rainbow Runner was cool when new, I got one NIB in the early 2000's when they were dumped on ebay …

You can buy a new router on sale at newegg for $20 shipped or less sometimes, why bother doing that with a PPro. I use Win2k and some old CAD cards on mine, or just use it as a vintage workstation.

Along with retro computing I like retro video capture/editing equipment (analog) along with 80's to 90's era audio. One of my last purchases was a Panasonic DAT player/recorder SV-3800.

I was late to the Amiga jumping from the C64 to a 286 in the late 80's not snagging an Amiga until 2000's. Currently I have a shelf of boxed Amiga games along with A500, A1000, A1200, 2x A2000, A3000 and A4000 machines.

Unfortunately most of us regarded the boxes as a waste of space and threw them out as soon as we got them. :( Most game boxes were useless outside of the fake art they used to get us to buy the games. But the old game had real manuals (lucas flight sims), company game catalog (SSI), maybe a copy …

486 EISA/VLB boards are pretty expensive. 4MB VLB boards are hard to find and not cheap. Any of the Promise/DTC/etc caching IDE or SCSI VLB boards are expensive. Pentium Pro motherboards, also P60/66 ones.

First computer I used was either a TRS 80 Model 3/IBM PC at High school or my friends Atari 400 and 800 (the original models) playing Ultima in the early 1980's. My first computer at home was a Timex 2068 in 1983.

The laptops still use XP mostly, but my main machines are OS 7 with XP relegated to older gaming rigs.

The 939 and 940 chips both use DDR1 memory controllers, any way to hack a 940 into a 939 board? The Opteron 256 CPUs are 3ghz and only a few dollars.

I looked around for an Opteron 180 for one of my 939 boards. Didn't know Vista has issues with dual core (never used the OS for anything).
