I don't even get any errors when trying to use the program. In fact, merely typing "cup386" without any switches simply freezes the dosbox session and I had to ctrl-F9 to shut it down.

Yes, UNP does decompress executables, however, I was just curious as to why CUP386 crashes under dosbox. I tried turning off XMS, emms and umb, but CUP386 still falls over.

Hi. I'm trying to run a program cup386.com for unpacking old dos executables, but when I run it under dosbox, it freezes. Is there a fix for this? Thanks.

hello again. Just to clarify, my query wasn't about a particular game, it was just generalizing, and posing the question what do you do with dosbox if a game or program won't run unless you change buffers=xx or files=xx?

Hello there. I have a game that says that I need to up the buffers= and files= settings in my config.sys or else the game won't run. What do I do? is there a way in dosbox that I can set this information?

Hi guys, No, I dont have any issue with older cvs builds, I've just noticed that the file dosbox.exe has ended up going missing from a few builds and it was just a friendly reminder to be more careful.

Hi again. it seems the latest build 14 november 2008 they forgot to include the dosbox.exe application in the zip. No wonder the zip file is so small. does anyone know where I can get the text of the latest changes that were made to the cvs version? they aren't in any of the zip files Thanks
