I don't mod my 3dfx cards but I do put them next to one of those fan kits that install in your PCI slot. It doesnt draw power from the PCI or anything, it's just a plastic card.

Kepler is great. Not only is my $150 Titan Black severely overpowered but I've not run into a single compatibility issue even going back as far as Far Cry 1 and Return to Castle Wolfenstein. I'm curious if it will do frame buffer effects in Knights of the Old Republic, though.

Installing another OS on a VM seems like a lot of work just to access partitions on a removable media. Is anyone familiar with any aforementioned third party tools that will allow me to do this in Windows?

So if you have a retro OS - be it DOS or Windows 98 - installed on a Compact Flash/SD you cannot access any additional partitions when viewing it on Windows 7/10?

Yup. Only right clicking the first partition offers the "Open/Explore" options. The rest are greyed out, extended partitions.

I'm using DOS 3.3 for my Tandy 1000 installed on an XT-IDE 2GB Compact Flash. At a glance besides the goggame type files my contains an extra folder _redist and a d3d9.dll. Thank you for sharing ! You actually helped me figure it out. All I needed to do was remove the d3d9.dll and it runs!

I would recommend using an era appropriate ATI or using nVidia -- they have always (and still) seem to have better backwards compatibility than ATI.
