Re: We've Been SLAPPed

The Electronic Frontier Foundation is considering our case! This means that we are much more secure than we were 24 hours ago. Also, prepare to see a full copy of the email I was sent to be posted soon.

Re: double install?

The duplicate entries exist in the 2.0.4 install because one runs the program with the front-end (the one with the icon), and the other does not (it just calls DOSDRV using the settings in VDMS.INI and runs the game).

Re: different speeds within game?

in Speedset
It could be using two different ways of handling speed, kinda like how the old Sierra SCI games do. One uses a proper clock timer, and one uses the cpu as a timer. (IIRC, IANACP)

Re: We've Been SLAPPed

But Then, since I'm a minor, it's my parents that'll get shat on, so I conferenced with them …

We've Been SLAPPed

"attorney client privilege" keeps me from posing the entire letter sent from Lawrence Y. Iser of GREENBERG GLUSKER, but basically we've been ordered to cease and desist the http://www.zetafleet.com/dev/rmt site, once again with unsubstantiated claims of copyright ownership. I've already spoken with …

Re: Ravenloft-Strahd's Possesion & XP

in DOS
Actually changing the AUTOEXEC.NT set BLASTER stuff is probably a bad idea since then XP's emulator and VDMSound will try to compete for the same virtual address spaces, IIRC.

Re: Sysytem Shock

in DOS
I'm going to make some static content for the new site release, just because of cases like this.
