Re: HELL: A Cyberpunk Thriller

in DOS
~_~ Compatibility modes are for WINDOWS GAMES ONLY . Please read the posting guidelines. I was going to try to be nice and see if you'd give me more information without needing to tell you to since you filled out profile properly, but apparently not. Also you did not answer the two other questions I …

*heh*, Qbix is a developer for DOSBox, you know that, right?

Re: Tomb Raider Crash in Windows XP

Why doesn't it crash NORMALLY, though? That reporter should only come up for MS products, specifically MSIE. Everything else should just crash with a "This program has done something bad and will be shut down. More details will be available as soon as I'm done dumping the segfault." Or if you have …

Whoo! 531 3DMarks with my GF3Ti500! Whoo! (For the record, this is a really, really pathetic score. For whatever reason though 3DMark03 is the only thing that my card struggles with -- every single demo I've run with the exception of Adrenalin (that is because of only one pixel pipeline) has run at …

Not to mention that if you've got a GeForce you're doubly screwed, since the patch that EA issued to fix …

Re: Tomb Raider Crash in Windows XP

*heh* Well, that screenshot shows the MSIE bug reporter which, at least for MSIE, sends things to Microsoft. If you didn't change that to go somewhere else, I can only imagine what Microsoft is doing with the data, especially considering the suspicious upcropping of problems with the release of DX9 …

Re: Speed guidelines

in Speedset
Some games it's one thing, some games it's the other, I think. Now that we've exhausted all three possibilities (yes, no, maybe), let's get Vlad in here to tell us what's correct.

Re: Duke3D & Windows XP

Reduce the sound quality in order to get it running smoothly. CLI2NOP will not help fix the speed. 22kHz, 6 voices, 16-bit Stereo should do the trick. Your system might just be too slow, though. Since you didn't give us any specs as per the posting guidelines we couldn't tell you.
