Python is a crappy language to begin with, so I hope it does stay there. It uses indentation to open and close functions, not brackets. What a crappy idea!

So, you Deleted RBPREFS.DAT Started Red Baron Alt+Tab'd out of Red Baron while it was running Turned on the Read-Only attribute of RBPREFS.DAT ? If you don't have sound to begin with, this won't fix it.

Paul, might I suggest the obvious? Implement a framerate limiter, specifiable in OpenGLid.ini. Default to 60fps. I was going to say switch the refresh rate of the monitor depending on what the framerate limit was set to, but I think it would be a better idea to have it run at the maximum refresh …

The card is ATA/133 read, ATA/100 write. Don't ask me how that works. Are you sure about needing the same controller? I would think that controllers by the same manufacturer would use the same lookup stuff. Maxtor is shipping SATA drives now, and I think there are SATA RAID controllers, though …

Wow, that was so... not at all helpful. RAID is good... when it works. This RAID-5 array is excellent because it's speedy and redundant. Too bad I can't get my data on it. That would make it much better. 😁

Agh! I am going to shoot someone! I just received my hard drives -- four 80GB Maxtors -- and proceeded to install them. The footprint for the RAID card is huge -- there is only one PCI slot I can fit it in because otherwise it hits the hard drives. This required me to juggle all my PCI cards around. …

It should be pretty solid ... much moreso than the last server, which was full of holes. Inevitably it's less secure than a workstation because it is a server with open ports for various services, but that isn't a very large security risk since everything is configured well.
