Search VOGONS for "2DOSWIN". It'll probably need some modification depending on what your sound card drivers do, but it should work with a minimum of fuss. 😀

Can't tell you anything about that envelope problem (never had it), but it does sound like your computer's hardware is leeching conventional memory. (eg. hardware conflict, nothing we can do, sorry)

The highest progressive-scan resolution is 1024 horizontal. 1920x1440 (true HDTV) is interlaced.

I thought it was INT13h. SOMETHING that was implemented between Win2000 and WinXP in NTVDM that fixed games that would need CLI2NOP in W2K.

I'm *pretty* sure it's INT13h... like I said, search for CLI2NOP. Good info there. Maybe it's not INT13h... I dunno... I could've sworn that's what it was, though. Implemented in XP, but not in 2000.

The installation directory is where you INSTALLED THE GAME. So use Explorer to go to that directory, find "RX," right-click on it, and choose "Run with VDMSound"

Unfortunately, this won't solve the problem of getting the game to run in Windows 2000. That said, a major part of your slowdown is probably due to your processor. How fast is it? Because of the way GliDOS works (converting instructions), it is very taxing on the CPU.
