You need to right-click on the game and choose "Run with VDMS". Also, getting the VDMSound Launchpad is recommended.

INT13h is the happy thing that's not implemented in Windows 2000 but is in XP that decides whether or not BUILD and DOOM engine games will lock up or not. 😀 Read about it in the VDMSound forum (also see CLI2NOP). It's ALL the rage in...uh...Microsoftland! 😜

He shouldn't need CLI2NOP in Windows XP since INT13h is implemented. SPEEDSET would be a good first step in getting it to work, however. Check 'Deep Thought' for it.

No problem. If the CD version has enhancements, it's probably still a good idea to try to get it going (if only by mix and matching the floppy version with the CD version). Please let me know if that's the case so I know whether or not to close this thread.
